GETRONICS ANNOUNCES END OF SUPPORT FOR LEGACY VS SYSTEMS: A Proven Transformation Solution Awaits Aging Technology 

  After more than three decades of service and support, the Getronics North America business unit has begun the process of notifying clients that service and support for legacy Getronics Wang® VS™ systems will soon end. Rapidly rising costs for parts and support make it necessary to migrate some 70 clients still running the Getronics legacy system to a newer technology.

All existing contracts will be honored to their current and agreed-to end dates and Getronics will immediately begin working with clients to create a transformation plan based on the client’s specific needs.

Getronics has already cost-effectively transformed more than 50 clients to the new VS platform (VSGX), which is based on industry-standard server hardware. This new platform including hardware and software is available through TransVirtual Systems, named by Getronics as the exclusive reseller of this solution. This system allows for the full transfer of the existing VS software applications to the new platform in an unchanged form.
